Nightmare On Elm Street

Those wonderful people at Warner Bros. have released the second trailer for the Remake of Nightmare On Elm Street. From the looks of things there seems to be a plethora of horror movies which are being remade at the moment with some being terribly bad and some being great movies – well Nightmare On Elm Street looks like a horrifyingly good film, with those iconic scenes from the original even being remade!

End of the SAW movies?

When Saw was first released in 2004 no one thought there would be 6 movies after it and a huge following of gore fans seeking Jigsaws insane traps. Well, now in 2010 we are just off the back off Saw VI which was arguably the weakest of the movies, there are many theories as to why but the general thoughts are most people went to see Paranormal Activity and preferred the Low-budget Indie movie, which grossed $150 million from its $15,000 budget. Patrick Melton screen writer (Saw IV to Saw VII) has stated that he doubts there will be an eighth chapter of Saw. Bill Murray – Confirms Ghostbusters 3

Bill Murray has self-confirmed his involvement in the highly anticipated Ghostbusters 3 movie which has been in the rumour mill for well over 10 years now. there were strong rumours that surfaced when the Ghostbusters: The Video Game was being released which was then confirmed by other cast members. Bill Murray has said that the only way he will be involved in the movie is if his character is killed and he comes back as a ghost, so I am guessing we will see some classic cheesy-jokes from his new ghostly character.

Ghostbusters 3 is to be directed by Ivan Reitman and all the original cast are rumoured to be involved at some point or another. Ghostbusters 3 will follow the work of a new Team of Ghostbusters rumoured to be made up of Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow. Although Rogen has previously stated that he has yet to be contacted by anyone involved in the production of Ghostbusters 3:

“It’s hard to imagine that would be good, isn’t it?” asks Rogen. “I mean just as a movie fan I am the first guy to be skeptical of that. It sounds like a terrible idea when you first hear it. At first hearing it sounds like the worst idea ever. I dunno. Maybe. I mean, that would have to be one mutherfucking good script.” – Seth Rogen

So it looks like a none started with Seth Rogen, unless the script is “mutherfucking good”.

Aliens Vs Predator Multiplayer Demo Out NOW!

So, we are all waiting for Alien Vs Predator to be released, well the Online Multiplayer Demo has been released. The o can be download at Xbox Live Marketplace, Playstation Network, and Steam. The demo gives you so action in the Multiplayer Deathmatch mode and one of the campaign mission levels. Have a look at the video below for some a glimpse at some game-play footage.

The game will be released on the 16th of February 2010 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies – Graphic Novel?

Jane Austens’ classic was transformed to a horrifying zombie novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, well now the Graphic Novel is on its way. Just weeks after Lionsgate announced a feature film adaptation starring Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta and upcomming Thor). I think this was an adaptation just screaming to happen considering the transformation of Pride and Prejudice to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Novel was a major success for all concerned.We have learnt that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Graphic Novel is due for a 2010 release.

Paranormal Activity 2

I think we all saw the major success of Paramount highest profiting movie of all time, Paranormal Activity. Well, Paramount have set the ball movie for a sequel, the original Director, Oren Peli, will be behind the camera but he will not direct, he will in fact be a Producer of the movie. The man that will drive Paranormal Activity 2 is none other than gore-getting Kevin Greutert…

The sequel is due to be released 22nd Oct 2010, with it competing with the next instalment of the Saw movies, all in time for the Halloween.

Nightmare On Elm Street Remake
